I wrote a pretty lengthy post the other day, and hit the post button just as Blogger decided to update the site. Of course I didn't save a draft (which I will from now on), and don't much feel like re-writing it all again. But basically, it had to do with my positive reactions to the image on your right.

Clever in it's depiction of the general public's reaction to the couple, the picture made me laugh and reflect- mostly on how glad and assured I am that I would never get duped into believing the garbage that comes out of this guys mouth.

And so, on went my rant about scientology and Ms. Holmes' whirlwind romance, which sadly, thanks to blogger, is lost forever.

Sigh.
Alas, all is well. I'm looking forward to my date tonight with Pablo. We're going to go out for dinner and then see the new Willy Wonka (woohoo). I'm mighty excited. I'm looking forward to another interpretation of the classic children's book, but at the same time, I'm sure I'll be reminded of why I loved the original so much: Gene Wilder. Odd as it may sound, I have a bit of a crush on him as Wonka. Maybe it's the unpredictable hair or the tingly feeling I get when his face changes colour in the tunnel on the boat. But mostly, I think it's the little quibbles that come out of his mouth. It's interesting, as an English student to come across a lot of the quotes from the movie in classic literature. One of my favorite being: "So shines a good deed in a weary world" which is taken from Merchant of Venice. (funny how I don't really enjoy Shakespeare plays though...Hmm).

Anyway, that's my brain today. Off to get Purdy!
