To all those celebrating today: Happy Thanksgiving!
Today is a day that will be filled with food, family, and therefore laughs and fun. I love holidays that require a family get together because I love the atmosphere that a huge turkey dinner creates. I am preparing my stomach this morning to receive the cornucopia of food by not eating breakfast. Knowing mom, by the time we get there early this afternoon, there will be cheese and crackers and other goodies to nibble on before the big event.
Did I say how much I love turkey related holidays?
So, in keeping with the tradition of thanksgiving, here are the things I am most grateful for this year (after all, what kinds of thanks giving would it be without any thanks?)
I am so grateful for how priviledged I am. For the food I have to eat, and for the love I have from family and friends. I am thankful that I have a loving partner who takes care of me and who has provided a warm home for us to live in. Thank-you Paul for your unconditional love and acceptance. Thanks be given to my parents and my siblings for their support and love, and thanks to those closest to me for the same.
I guess overall, I am most thankful for the opportunities I've been so blessed to have; I am thankful for my education, my job, the country I live in and all that these things afford me.
Let's not forget how thankful I am for turkey, and for the invention of stovetop stuffing. Oh. Yeah.
Have a wonderful holiday:)
