Strange.
This evening, as I randomly listen to music on itunes, I am reminded of the music I listened to first year of university. A little Shakira, Dashboard Confessional, Britney and Debbie Gibson; it all brings me back. Not that I am in a nostalgic sort of mood or anything. It's all just coincidental. It's all up to itunes to determine which point of my life I will reminisce on any given day.
Tonight Paul and I had dinner with a couple from work. That is, Paul works with male part of this couple, and I with the female. Together they are Justin and Katie, and are a really great fun loving couple. We enjoyed some yummy smoked bbq chicken, and rosemary roasted potatoes, along with a healthy serving of wine (mmmm...) It's strange working with someone who's sig. other works with your boyfriend. I get to hear all of the gossip about Paul and his office before he even gets to tell me, and vice versa. We are a quad of gossip machines.
Heh. Right now itunes decides to deliver a song to me from the made for tv cinderella soundtrack. You know the one Im talking about Kar.
"impossible!"

I cannot describe the love I have for the feeling I get when I remember the time and place that a song has in my life.
I love how any given song can take me back to specific moments . How I can return to the past with a simple chorus or bridge.
Right now, I'm taken back to highschool. To S. H.'s bedroom. Yellow walls, and a cd player playing Daniel John. In another minute it will be Christmas, and the memories of my sister and I singing some gay n'sync song will take me back to 2003.
I love remembering.
I think I am a little tipsy from the wine. And on that note, I shall bid thee farewell.

I LOVE THAT SONG. How totally amazing was that movie..(although a little cheesy) ahhhhh the simple days...as I like to call them. When fairy tales were all we were concerned about. Remembering its so sweet. Althought Nat if I remember correctly one Univeristy song that was played over and over was ...ahem Five for Fighting? ...Ring a bell? Love ya.
