So Nick, my brother, is moving to Utah for at least 6 months. He is leaving this week on a trip that will probably alter the course of his life, or at least offer direction for it. He'll be working for an Auction house, detailing Cars and preparing them for sale. I think it's a pretty awesome opportunity. I think he will have a great time.
Today we all got together to say goodbye, and to have a good time as a family before he leaves. We shot off some rounds with a 22. And shotgun. May I just say that I think shotguns are ridiculous! The kick back is very strong. I'm pretty sure my head was flung back a few inches, nevermind that it knocked Sarah to the ground. Then again, she shot the 50 caliber rifle. Thank god we were among a bunch of mormons and there was no drinking involved. Guns are fun, but I can only imagine how out of hand it can get if beer is thrown into the mix.
Fun times today. After shooting pop cans and water jugs, the boys shot at skeet discs- although I don't think any one managed to hit one. Maddie's b/f might have nicked an edge. After dinner we set off some fireworks and sparklers and had some laughs with an old video showing Nick at like 3 years old. Awwww so cute!
So this post is for my Nicholas Ridiculous. Or just Nicky. I hope you have a great time, and that you stay out of trouble. Flirt lots, but always be a gentleman. Take in the local attractions: maybe learn how to ski, and just enjoy the whole experience. We'll miss your goofiness, so don't forget to come back home some day soon.
