I am as much amazed at myself as I am relieved that it's almost over.
In one day I've managed to write my 12 page paper (well it will be finished once Paul emails me the introduction I forgot at home this morning), and I'm shocked that it will be complete by 6pm tonight, instead of 6am tomorrow. In the throes of academic procrastinatory stress (nice little term I created there) the end never seems to get any closer. But finally! hope is near. Only one more paper after this. A seven pager take home exam which needs to encompass basically the whole course. I'm sure I'll have no trouble finding enough material for that one. Still though, I'm not going to do it till next week.
Tomorrow I am buying our Christmas tree!!!! Not a holiday tree, or a festivus tree, or whatever else is considered PC (or should I say Liberal ahaha...I'm sure I'm the only one who got that).
It will be a Christmas tree to me, because Christmas for me is sharing, family, friends, and celebration of all of these things, and what better way to celebrate than with lots of little sparkly lights and pretty dangling ornaments. I love the way a decorated tree can bring an ambiance and warmth to the house. It makes me want to cook a huge feast and invite lots of people over-except for the fact that I don't know lots of people.
So yeah, Friday night will be the decoration/break out the eggnog and rum night. (by eggnog and rum I mean wine and beer of course....ew eggnog and any sort of alcohol!)

I'm looking forward to finishing up my shopping tomorrow (hopefully) if mom can manage to move. She fell on the front porch last weekend and broke her tailbone-ouch! Hopefully she will start feeling better soon and be pretty mobile for Christmas.

Well, I am trying to waste time until 5-ish, but alas, I have grown tired of typing so I should go.
