I love the feeling of walking in the cool crisp fall air, the sun shining through the trees and amber golden leaves showering my head when the wind blows. What adds to this almost blissful contentedness is the weight of a bag full of used books that I carry by my side. I have no will power....Im a spendaholic. But, I can justify this puchase as one that will aid me in my career. Isnt an English teacher supposed to be familiar with works from all genres of literature?

And I picked up a variety of interesting titles: You Went Away by Timothy Findley, The Doors Of Perception:Heaven and Hell by Aldous Huxley(read Brave New World...SO good!), Sons and Lovers by D.H Lawrence, which the lady at the book store told me is the only book John Nash (Beautiful Mind Guy) owned or read or something like that...Shes Come Undone by Wally Lamb, Roman Fever-And Other Stories by Edith Wharton(good good good), and, the one im looking most forward to:The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie, a book of huge controversy; Id like to know what the big dang deal is. Nice variety of lit. dont cha think? Now the trouble arises: When will I find the time to read all of these books!! Sheesh. *Sighs in defeat*
