I know I've said it once or twice before, but I must reiterate, for those not paying quite as close attention, that I love the fall!

I especially love fall days just like the one we had today: crisp, warm, clear skied and colourfully leafed. I took this weekend off to spend time with Paul and my family and today we spent the afternoon in Westport which was just beautiful. I had never been until today, but I can safely say I will be returning in the near future. We had lunch with my parents and, after a minor car crisis, did a bit of shopping in town. Paul and I later took a walk through the woods atop the big hill that overlooks Westport. The leaves were gorgeous and the sun filtering through the branches took my mind off the two freaking snakes that I managed to almost step on. *shudder* Even thinking about it now I cringe. Man I hate snakes.

It was a great day out of the house with Paul and D'orrie. I am so glad we decided to make the most of a rare day off together.

Tomorrow will be another day of relaxation which will include pie baking in preparation for the big feast on Monday! Mmmm....stuffing.

I'm looking forward to a big dinner with my family, though the absence of Matthew will be hard to ignore. Hope you get some turkey in your belly too Matt.

I'll probably post again on Thanksgiving to give thanks and all the rest of it. Till then, enjoy the beautiful weather and smells of turkey in the crisp fall air:)
