Rumours and Life

It turns out my misgivings about blogger and macs was a little premature. As I sit in the PC lab today I notice that I cannot do most of the tasks blogger usually allows. For starters, there is no underline button, or text size option. I guess it doesn't really matter. If I was keen enough I could just input the html code myself. But as we know, I'm not that keen (there's an italics button luckily enough).

Today I am having further computer problems. I have been trying to change my university email password, from the random one they provided me, to one I'll actually remember. I've asked the system to use the same password for all of my computer accounts (ie logging on to the system etc) yet it refuses to work for my email, meaning I haven't been able to access it for a few days. Even when I try to change it to something new -something other than the one I use for my other logins- it still doesn't work. No matter how comfortable I continue to feel with computers, they still frustrate the hell out of me sometimes. Heh, at least I can type without looking at the keyboard. I am making progress.

And now for something a little different.

Work was a bitch this weekend. We had 3 different hockey teams come in with bottle drives on Saturday (that's like, a lot of bottles ya know). To add to that loveliness I was dealing with a nasty head cold. Snot, sneezing, loss of hearing, and the rest of it. Not pretty, as you could probably imagine (not that I advise imagining it in any way...ick). As I think about how much non fun I had at work this weekend, I am only reminded of how things will just continually get worse from here on out. Christmas will come out of nowhere and everyone will want copious amounts of beer to deal with all it brings. Never mind the fact that sometime in the new year The Beer Store will become some sort of glorified recycling depot, accepting not only standard beer bottles, but also all other forms of alcoholic beverage container: wine bottles, tetra packs, coolers etc. I predict a massive labour shortage after this new program is implemented due to the sudden quitting of many employees who are too fed up with empties to deal with any more. I very well may be one of those people. It's amazing how you can come so close to loathing human existence when you have to deal with everyone's stinky disgusting beer empties. As wretched and jaded as I sound, I know I'm not alone on this. And one last request before I end my rant: Bring in your empties when you are finished with them! Don't horde them and let them rot in your garage all year only to bring them in first thing Sunday morning, when the rest of the world brings in their collections, and then leave them in garbage bags and mixed cases for me to deal with. Ahhh.
And thus ends my rants.

....
I was just booted from the computer room and have now relocated to one down the hall. I've lost my momentum, and so now I suppose thus ends my post as well.
