Three days later and I've decided to write about the show.
Despite the subdued audience and quiet atmosphere of the concert, I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and tack it up there with the others that comprise my Blue Rodeo collective memory.
I'd say the highlight of the evening was hearing 'Try', a song I suppose they don't often play in concert, and how it reminded me so clearly why I love that man's (Jim's) voice. The highnotes made me shiver though not as much asI think they made the woman in front of me spasm- she was pretty expressive- shudder.
Can't forget to mention the old hotel we stayed in and how I love buildings with character. If you are ever pressed to stay the night in Belleville then the Clarion is a good choice. Affordable and entertaining. Who'da thunk.
Off to think about working on my seminar for Tuesday, which, let's be honest, will only be written tomorrow.
Ciaos.
