I have the song London Calling in my head right now, no doubt due to the events which passed earlier this morning. It's pretty sad and appalling when you can't even feel safe taking public transit (aside from the shady looking people who ride it every day and don't blow it up- they're pretty freaky at times). Why the bombers chose to attack innocent civilians in response to the UK's involvement in Iraq is boggling. War+ Terrorism does not equate to peace. Revenge breeds more hatred, and the cycle continues.

Right now I am on campus researching a Shakespeare paper (God help me) and I'm finding that after only maybe an hour of actual work, I am beyond bored. The campus is all out of order due to construction and renovation of the Library and Unicenter (woo). Yes, I believe the library should have more study spaces and less books (uh, hardly), and that 'excess' books should be placed in storage on the other side of campus-which is so inconvenient for student access. At the same time, a big pat on the back for the mastermind behind the new twin pad arena being installed (sorry Paul) as it is a fundamental facility essential to the academic achievements of the university student. It really ticks me off to see the university expanding and spending money on frivolous things, while at the same time cutting back funding for actual programs and even phasing some out. You'd almost think that someone forgot that university is about learning, not bigger more expensive cafeterias and lucrative ice rinks.

Ok, I'm done my rant.
I'm just pissed that construction took away all the printers on one side of campus. A couple breaths and I'll be good.

Going to Sudbury this weekend to spend time with my family. It's been two years since my grandfather passed away and this weekend we'll be placing his tombstone in the cemetery commemorating him. I haven't been to the cemetery yet, so it will be a special moment for me to remember him.

On another note, my thoughts are going out to 'T' and her family right now and I hope that everything fixes it self and that your mom will soon be back at home. Hugs and kisses for ya and an ear to listen if you need it.

Well...I think that is about all that I have to say for this moment. Thank you blogger for giving me a reason to waste time and avoid school work yet again.
