So I've fallen behind in my studies. No real surprise there. My midterm for Children's Lit is on Tuesday, therefore I'm in a scramble to catch up on my reading and videos. I must say I am rather surprised that Treasure Island is a children's book at all unless they can understand late nineteenth century pirate dialect better than I can. I admit there were a few passages that whooshed over my head. Last night I started reading The Hobbit and so I'm well into it now, and for a book I thought I would hate I guess it's not too bad. I still don't understand the difference between dwarves and hobbits though, other than the beards. Aren't dwarves supposed to be small too?
Anyway, tonight is dance lesson#2. Paul and I managed through the first class without looking too embarassing. With practice I think we will catch up with the rest of the class-and my parents! The competition is fierce! (well kinda, but not really). Just waiting now for mom to pick me up for an afternoon in SF- Now there's a treat! After being away from home for so long ( what like 4 years now?) I can't believe how little Smiths Falls has changed. All it takes is one afternoon and I'm actually glad to get back to CP. Not disregarding it too much though, it might be my future place of employment should I ever get finished with school.
So that's basically the run of things today. A typical day in the life of a bored broke student stuck at home:-)
