Visiting my grandparents over the weekend was both exciting and a little sad. Both of my grandmothers were talking about things they were going to give to their grandchildren in the next little while, and though we were all happy to see each other, it's hard to think of a time when they won't be there. Memere Prisque let me pick out one of her music boxes as a birthday gift, so I chose an older one with a boy and girl on a bench under an umbrella. It plays "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on my Head" and in a way it kind of reminds me of my grandparents, which is sweet. I hope I have many more visits with them in good health.
On a lighter note, school is winding down which means soon Ill have a week or two of break before I throw myself back into it again. I really really don't want to do an Honours program, but one year of hard work will pay off...literally. An extra 10K a year pay off, which is at least something to look forward to. There is so much I want to do before I start 'working' in the career sense, but I am really excited to get to that point. I think I'd make a good teacher, and the idea of developing lesson plans and teaching really excites me. Thank god. I think it's about time I realized what I want to do. And it feels good to be happy with the decisions I've made.
The sun us shining hardcore right now, which makes me think of spring and planting my garden. My favorite time of year is here, and my spirits are good. I think I deserve a drink:-)
I love you Memere's and Pepere's
