Domestic Responsibilities

Naturally, owning a home does come along with a few more responsibilities than a condo. I managed to get my garden in a week or 2 after the big move in. I must say I'm surprised at how well my flowers are growing (even though 2 plants are dead), and how well I'm keeping up with the weeds. The lawn that we were so excited about on the other hand took a while to get so much attention. We just bought a lawnmower last week.....about 4 weeks after the grass really needed mowing. Already it looks as if it needs to be done again.
Anyway. I am finding that I am not satisfied with my housekeeping skills....or lack thereof. I thought I would have such pride in our home that I would naturally be more tidy. How stupid I was indeed.
But I assume the responsibility. I accept the chores and the weeding and watching Paul mow the lawn (hehe). I accept it, and love it because this house is everything we wanted and needed. I'll even forgive the deer for eating my sunflowers just days after I planted them. After all, who in Mississauga can say that they have deer in their back yards/condo balconies.
